چکیده

We consider a class of singularly perturbed delay-differential equations of the form e ’ xðtÞ 1⁄4 f ðxðtÞ; xðt rÞÞ; where r 1⁄4 rðxðtÞÞ is a state-dependent delay. We study the asymptotic shape, as e-0; of slowly oscillating periodic solutions. In particular, we show that the limiting shape of such solutions can be explicitly described by the solution of a pair of so-called max-plus equations. We are able thereby to characterize both the regular parts of the solution graph and the internal transition layers arising from the singular perturbation structure. r 2002 Elsevier Science (USA). Boundary Layer Phenomena for Differential-Delay Equations with State-Dependent Time Lags, L

In this paper we begin a study of the differential-delay equation ex ' ( t ) = x ( t ) + f ( x ( t r ) ) , r = r ( x ( t ) ) . We prove the existence of periodic solutions for 0 < e < e0, where e0 is an optimal positive number. We investigate regularity and monotonicity properties of solutions x ( t ) which are defined for all t and of associated functions like tl (t) = t r ( x ( t ) ) . We beg...

Nvestigation of a Boundary Layer Problem for Perturbed Cauchy-Riemann Equation with Non-local Boundary Condition

Boundary layer problems (Singular perturbation problems) more have been applied for ordinary differential equations. While this theory for partial differential equations have many applications in several fields of physics and engineering. Because of complexity of limit and boundary behavior of the solutions of partial differential equations these problems considered less than ordinary case. In ...

Two-phase Boundary Layer Flow, Heat and Mass Transfer of a Dusty Liquid past a Stretching Sheet with Thermal ‎Radiation

‎The problem of two-phase MHD boundary layer flow, heat and mass transfer over a stretching sheet with fluid-particle suspension and thermal radiation has been studied. The effect of mass transfer in dusty fluid over a stretching sheet is considered for the first time. The governing equations are reduced to a set of non-linear ordinary differential equations under suitable similarity transforma...

MHD Boundary Layer Flow of a Nanofluid over an Exponentially Permeable Stretching Sheet with radiation and heat Source/Sink

The problem of steady Magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow of an electrically conducting nanofluid due to an exponentially permeable stretching sheet with heat source/sink in presence of thermal radiation is numerically investigated. The effect of transverse Brownian motion and thermophoresis on heat transfer and nano particle volume fraction considered. The governing partial differential eq...

A method based on the meshless approach for singularly perturbed differential-difference equations with Boundary layers

In this paper, an effective procedure based on coordinate stretching and radial basis functions (RBFs) collocation method is applied to solve singularly perturbed differential-difference equations with layer behavior. It is well known that if the boundary layer is very small, for good resolution of the numerical solution at least one of the collocation points must lie in the boundary layer. In ...
